This fascinating bell from the Japanese house of Kohzan is steeped in historical tradition. It recalls the era of shoguns, mighty feudal lords who ruled the country for nearly 700 years. The design portrays a cart used by these noble leaders. Typically, it was drawn by one or more oxen.
The name Kohzan, which means Happy Mountains, was inspired by the firm's surroundings. The factory is located in Toki City, in the midst of the famous clay mountains on the island of Honshu. From this range comes the special clay that gives Kohzan fine porcelain its exceptional quality and distinctive pristine whiteness.
Bell includes collectors card from the Bell Collectors Club.
